City Launches Visitor Information iPhone App

Destination Milton Keynes (DMK), the official tourism and information provider for Milton Keynes in partnership with 4fx Design & Multimedia Ltd have launched a new tourism and visitor information iPhone application for the city called Amazing MK.

The application delivers detailed information on eating out, accommodation, shopping, attractions, travel and upcoming events straight to your iPhone. It is a fully searchable database full of essential information for visitors and residents alike. Information includes contact details, photos and detailed descriptions. The application allows you to save your favourite searches and locate venues from where you are standing, using the iPhone’s GPS location system. The application also works on iPod Touch and the new iPad. The app gives the user one convenient place to access the information.

Milton Keynes Mayor, Cllr Debbie Brock and DMK Chairman, Dr Ann Limb recently launched the application which exceeded 1000 downloads in the first week.

Only a few other cities in the UK have tourism-based iPhone applications available and now our city is one of them. The application will allow visitors and residents to have all the information they need about MK in the palm of their hand.”
